Landscape Garden Design Service Hampshire, Dorset & Poole

Garden Design

We provide a personal and creative experience offering a bespoke garden design process tailored to your individual needs and site requirements. Our work draws inspiration from architecture, nature & wellbeing with equal importance placed on planning, designing and implementing an outdoor space that embodies your lifestyle, functional design, and beauty.

From the outset we intently listen to your vision to ensure the design brief, needs and requirements for your new garden are creatively achieved and delivered affordably. Throughout the design process and garden build we provide clear and regular communication with you to ensure we create the garden of your dreams smoothly and efficiently.

From initial design proposals through to completion we can manage the entire process on your behalf, coordinating the build and managing every aspect of the process. Our garden design services include concept plans, detailed master plans, construction detailing, project management and planting installation. We also offer a full design & build service working with our trusted Dorset based landscaper Wycliffe Landscapes.

Our range of work on private properties vary from small urban spaces to large estates across Hampshire, Dorset & Poole and the surrounding counties.

Stage 1 – Design

1. Following your enquiry we will first arrange a phone call to discuss your garden design project. After this discussion we would arrange to meet you on site, offering a free design consultation to further discuss your vision needs and requirements for the garden.

2. Following this site meeting we would write a detailed design brief and fee proposal. Upon acceptance and receipt of deposit we would send you a personal welcome pack outlining the bespoke design process, timelines and dedicated designer for your project.

3. We then arrange for a topographical survey to be carried out. This survey is essential to creating an accurate design and details everything from the property, existing site features, changes in levels and boundaries.

4. Following the receipt of the survey we then begin a creative journey designing your new garden. We use a variety of media to present your new garden from creative design plans, 3D visuals, planting and hard landscape imagery.

5. Early in the garden design process we will present preliminary design proposals to you and discuss the direction of the design. These initial design proposals are focused on overall layout with limited detail at this stage. This is then followed by further creative development leading to a finalised design.

6. As we develop these design proposals we create a VR (Virtual Reality) design experience. This enables you to fully immerse yourself in the new garden and fully understand the design, scale and proportions of the space. We also produce walkthrough animations of the design to replicate physical movement through the space.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality in Hampshire, Dorset & Poole

We use virtual reality (VR) during garden design presentations throughout Hampshire, Dorset & Poole. We are constantly developing new and improved ways of presenting our ideas to our clients and related professionals, either on site or on screen in our design studio in The New Forest.

Virtual Reality Garden Design

Virtual reality is a brilliant way of getting creatively involved with the design process and to see your new garden in reality before it’s even been built. This is very exciting when all members of the garden such as children can also experience the new space.

It allows you to immerse yourself in the new garden and fully understand the design, scale and proportions of the new space. It can also help you understand the spatial arrangement of the design and provides a different perspective compared to viewing the 2D masterplan.

We can also produce walkthrough animations of the design to replicate physical movement through the space. Walk-through video animations can be easily uploaded to a tablet or smart device and sent digitally and remotely.

Stage 2 – Design Detailing & Build

1.Following the approved garden design, we then work to produce detailed drawings and planting plans. These drawings are used to request a formal quotation for the build and to accurately construct the garden.

2. We would first meet with you to discuss and finalise material selection and your preference of planting style and colour palette.

3. These drawings include construction details for hard landscaping elements, setting out plans, levels plans and lighting proposals. The planting plans provide a creative view of the planting with exact locations of all proposed plants and full plant list with imagery.

4. We then present these drawings to you in person and discuss any final amendments before issuing to a landscape contractor for a formal quotation. We also produce a full bill of quantities to enable a smooth and efficient tender process with full transparency for your review.

5. The formal quotes are then thoroughly reviewed and considered. After our advice and your approval a landscape contractor is appointed to carry out the build. We can project manage the entire build on your behalf to include contract administration and project inspection.
